Practical answers on sizing, all-over print care, and washing for the Bobo Choses Farm Adventure and Pickles the Dog baby bodies.
Quick answer
Choose the size that matches your baby's current age in months, wash both bodies inside out on a gentle cycle, and treat the all-over prints as the most delicate part of the garment. The Farm Adventure and Pickles the Dog bodies are available in 9 and 12 months only, so plan around those two windows rather than expecting a full size run.
Why the size range is narrow, and what that means for your baby
Both bodies come only in 9 months and 12 months. That is a deliberate limitation of these two SS26 styles, not an oversight, but it does mean they suit a specific stage rather than a full first year. If your baby is between sizes or growing quickly, the 12-month option gives more room to grow, while the 9-month option fits closer to the body. Because the catalog does not list garment measurements, use your baby's current age and usual brand size as the starting point, and check the label on arrival before the first wash.
The all-over print changes how you should handle the body
An all-over print covers the whole garment, so there is no plain panel to hide a faded patch or a rubbed seam. That makes the print the first thing to protect: turn the body inside out before washing, avoid direct ironing on the printed side, and skip harsh stain removers that could lift color. The Farm Adventure and Pickles the Dog bodies share this construction, so the same handling applies to both.
Fit and care questions answered
- How do I choose between 9 and 12 months?
- Match the size to your baby's current age in months. If your baby is already in 12-month clothing elsewhere, start there; if they are just moving out of 6-month sizes, the 9-month body is the closer fit. The catalog does not provide chest or length measurements, so the age label is the main guide. When in doubt between the two, size up rather than down, since a closer fit leaves no room to grow.
- Can I machine wash the all-over print bodies?
- Yes, but turn the body inside out, use a gentle cycle with cold or cool water, and wash with similar colors. Avoid bleach and fabric softener, which can dull the print over time. The catalog does not specify a care label, so check the sewn-in instructions when the garment arrives and follow those if they differ.
- How should I dry and iron a printed body?
- Air-dry flat or line-dry rather than tumble-drying on high heat, which is harder on prints and stretch. If ironing is needed, iron the inside of the garment on a low setting and never press directly on the printed surface.
- What should I do about stains on a light all-over print?
- Blot fresh stains with cool water and a mild detergent, then wash as normal. Skip chlorine bleach and strong stain sprays, which risk fading the print. Treat the stain before it sets rather than after a hot wash.
- Are these bodies suitable for everyday wear or special occasions?
- Both are designed for everyday dressing, with playful all-over prints rather than formal detailing. They work best as daily rotation pieces, which is also why the gentle washing routine matters more than occasional spot cleaning.
